Thanks to the incredible work of American Legion Post 202 in Topsham, ME, this year’s event was a huge success, raising over $20,000 to support Maine Veterans in Need!
Nine teams battled it out on the snowy field, traveling from as far away as Fryeburg and New Hampshire. Seasoned Winter Classic veterans went head-to-head with first-time teams—and with 18 inches of fresh snow, the playing field was almost perfectly even!
What really stood out, though, was the spirit of the day: great competition, lots of laughs, and an amazing community coming together for Maine’s veterans. Every player, volunteer, and supporter helped make this an unforgettable event.
Hannaford Supermarkets is generously supporting MVN’s effort to feed homeless veterans and those with significant food insecurities with Hannaford gift cards, a $1400 value. Thank you Hannaford!
